Gary Lipelt PGA Professional
My goal is to provide the highest quality instruction where each student is taught based on his or her learning style, physical attributes, and personal objectives.
I am a PGA Professional who loves to teach and play the game of golf. I have been playing golf for more than 30 years and teaching golf for over 17 years. I turned professional in 1993 and have been a Class A member of the PGA of America since 1998. I enjoy teaching the seasoned golfer as well as the beginning golfer of all ages.
My goal as an instructor is to make each student’s experience as enjoyable as possible. At the same time I want every student to improve their fundamentals and gain a better understanding of their swing in order to play better and increase their enjoyment on the course.
I believe all golfers from beginners to world-class players must work on the basic fundamentals of the swing. Virtually all top players have a proper grip, appropriate stance/posture and correct ball position. Everyone from recreational to aspiring tour players should follow their lead and develop correct fundamentals.
In addition to my 17 years experience teaching 100′s of students my teaching style has been influenced by reading numerous books, watching and studying video, using training aids, and attending PGA of America Seminars featuring the worlds top instructors.
There are countless methods and techniques taught to improve the golf swing. For the most part this has created a lot of confusion and misunderstanding of the golf swing. My goal as an instructor is to match the level of information to the students current skill level, knowledge and expectations.
I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from watching my students improve and reach goals. I encourage students to contact me with questions and keep me up-to-date on their progress via email, phone, text messages and in person.
Past and current students have had success in lowering their handicap, winning club championships, winning regional events, qualifying for USGA national events, playing collegiate golf, become PGA Professionals and play on the PGA Tour.
Testimonials
Gary teaches the full swing in an easy to understand way that has given me a solid foundation for my game. He also has provided a set of simple drills to reinforce this. His short game series has turned my game from 60 yards in from an embarrassment to a strength. Gary’s lessons have helped drop my handicap from a 35 to a 20 in a little over a year.
